The Talking Stones of Arig The Brogan Seer was born with a computer chip modem implanted behind his right ear. He was the Seer and Prophet of The Picts and was transmitted information from The Talking Stones of Arig which were in fact, a communications base hidden within the Mountain of Arig. The aliens from the planet Scotian had chosen Broghan as their Seer to their Chosen People, The Picts. Broghan had led a solitary life in a cave in Dunbroghan. He had never washed, cut his hair, or had a woman until he was in his forties and he met the beautiful Caitriana at The Court of King Ailpean. Everyone was terrified of The Seer, for, when he gave 'A Telling' then the events he foretold always happened as he said. Composer's Note This piece of music was written in 1989 in Ardrossan, as a prelude (at that time) to Painted People. I knew it as 'The Annexe to Painted People'. It was "Lost" for nearly ten years, and came to light during a house move in December 1998. Originally recorded on a cheap ferric tape on a four-track recorder, it has been transferred after editing and processing onto CD. Within the music there are two pieces of music that I particularly like - one in the middle (Sax solo) and the segment at the end which is for playing whilst burying me in a black plastic bag.
